By Air

Slovenia’s national carrier, Adria Airways, offers regularly scheduled flights to most major European cities. Ljubljana is linked to Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Brussels, Belgrade, Athens, Bukarest, Helsinki, Kijev, Madrid, Stockholm Budapest, Paris, Barcelona, London, Dublin, Manchester, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Moscow, Skopje, Sarajevo, Ohrid, Tirana, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Podgorica, Prague, Priština, Warsaw and others.

The majority of competitors will fly into Slovenia from one of the major international airports (Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Paris, London, etc.)

Slovenia has three international airports with a permanent immigration and customs service: Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, the biggest and closest to Bled, and two smaller international airports, Maribor Airport, close to the Austrian border and Portorož Airport, close to the Italian border and on the Adriatic coast.

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport is an international airport, only a 20 minute drive from Bled and situated next to the A1 motorway. Special buses, operating 24 hours a day, provide transport to Ljubljana and Bled from Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport.

The Organizing Committee will organize transportation between Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport and Bled for all the competitors, the team staff, official visitors, and members of the press. There will also be an information centre set up at the airport for all the visitors. Special buses will be running continuously between Brnik and Bled.
