Other activities: Bled is the right location for many other activities to keep the visitors busy and entertained. The whole city will be living with and for the World Championships. Opening Ceremony The spectacular Opening Ceremony on Saturday 27 August will include a parade of all the national flags and the opening speeches of FISA representatives, representatives of the Republic of Slovenia, Bled, and the Rowing Federation of Slovenia. Also, Slovenia’s regions will be presented together with their brief histories, followed by a fireworks, and informal entertainment for all spectators. Closing Ceremony The Closing Ceremony on Sunday 4 September will take place after the last Victory ceremony for the Men’s Eights.
After the Closing Ceremony at 18.30 the Athletes Farewell party will take place in the catering area of Velika Zaka. A full program In addition to the competitions, the spectators will also enjoy daily informal entertainment at the Bled promenade, an arts and crafts fair in the Zdraviliški park, Slovene culinary evenings in Bled restaurants, and the legend of the sunken bell. The OKARINA FOLK FESTIVAL
Apart from the World Rowing Championships the Okarina Folk Festival will take place at Bled and offer all of spectators and visitors a lovely atmosphere. The festival will host some of the most original and interesting musical groups from around the globe. DETAILED PROGRAMME |
