 8 November 2010 Third best rower in the world, Olympic and World champion Iztok Čop didn't compete in this year's Championships, but will be again competing in Bled 2011. This year he competed in Bled World Cup with his long time friend Olaf Tufte, but then decided not to go to Lake Karapiro.

It's time for Bled! During Closing Ceremony of World Championships in Lake Karapiro, New Zealand President of Organising Committee Mr. Janez Bencina has received official FISA flag. FISA president Mr Denis Oswald gladly handed over the flag, which will be present during World Championships in Bled next august.
Great organisation at lake Karapiro ...  6 November 2010 After great rowing in semifinals, one of the best Slovenian rowers of all times, had to say goodbye to the World Championships medal, ending as 6th in Finals A. Team Kolander-Pirih also ended Championships rowing with 6th place in Finals B.
