Second day rowing was accompanied by rain in the afternoon program. After the morning sun clouds covered the sky above the Lake and soon first raindrops started. Racing conditions were even harder when gusts of wind blew across the lake, finishing times were therefore much slower than the day before.
Slovenia will have two boats in the finals on Sunday. First up was the double sculls with Iztok Cop and Olaf Tufte. Since the latter row under the Norwegian flag this will not be a Slovenian crew in the finals, but Cop being the best rower of the country in decades one can easily say that Slovenia at least has half a boat in the final.
The other boat among the best six in the A finals is the quadruple sculls with brothers Luka and Jan Spik, Gasper Fistravec and Andraz Krek, which just missed a final qualification on Friday and had to row the repechage today. The quad led most of the race and finished second, which earns them a place in the finals. First two crews qualified for the final A on Sunday.
Slovenia's lightweight double sculls with Matevz Malesic and Jure Cvet was last in the second semifinal and will therefore row in tomorrows final B.
The Sunday's program for Slovenia's boats is as follows: Cop will row the double sculls A final at 9.29, also in final A will be the Slovenia's quad at 10.47, lightweight double sculls with Cvet and Malesic will row in the final B at 12.56.
