Second day racing at the Bled World Cup saw important visitors at the banks of the lake. President of the International Rowing Federation (FISA) Denis Oswald visited the morning regatta session. Before that he took a look around the boat house in Mala Zaka and spoke with several members of the organizing committee.
Also a part of the morning events was the Slovenian Environmental Minister Roko Zarnic, who also rowed a few strokes on the ergometer in the finishing area commercial tent. He was quite interested in purchasing one machine, which is not unusual since he is a former rower.
Later today Bled organizers also welcomed Slovenia's president Danilo Tuerk. He met Slovenian adaptive rowers, who are registered as possible candidates for the Slovenian adaptive team for the next year's World Rowing Championships in Mala Zaka. The president was keen on seeing all the results gathered and got a personal copy of the results summary. Despite the rain he had time to watch the races, he applauded Iztok Cop finishing third with Olaf Tufte in the men's double sculls semifinal.
